Watchman as conducted him to the
Police Station earlier, that the
I. P. C. was in charge of three
prisoners, who were behind him, and that there were two prisoners,
and no one in charge. Once of
them was a tea hawker and the
other & counterfeit soin case.
From the foregoing it appears:-
1. That Inspector Smith was in
charge of the prisoners, that he
Buw the locked up, but that they
were let out before he returned to
the Police Station.
8. That the 6 prisoners were
sondusted from the Police Station
to the Polise Court by an I. P. C.,
a D. W. and a n. 6. and that no
Europea n was in charge.
3. That the prisoners were let out to return to the Magistracy before one at least of the escort c.c.
240 had put in an appearance.
